With the changing of legislation and the introduction of the Minimum Energy Regulations, (MEES), the EPC may be required by your Pension Fund Manager of Bank. We understand the processes and can guide you through helping matters flow smoothly.
The MEES regulations set a minimum standard, currently "E". In the event the property doesn't achieve the level then we will provide you with a simple action plan, all part of the standard service.

Who needs a Commercial EPC ?
All commercial properties require a Commercial EPC before they can be sold, leased or rented. There are a few exceptions call us for FREE advice today.
What is the benefit of a Commercial EPC ?
Firstly it helps ensure you comply with the law and avoid fines or are prevented from selling or marketing your property. How long is a Commercial EPC valid for ?
A Commercial EPC is valid for 10 years unless there are changes to the physical size, an extension or combining of areas, or the heating/ventilation systems are changed.
What happens if we don't have an EPC ?
You will not be able to complete the sale or enter into a new lease agreement.
You can be fined between £500 and £5000 which based on the RV (rateable value) of the building if you do not have a Commercial EPC.

The commitment remains to the existing law. Commercial properties are major consumers of power and the governments objectives are to reduce the carbon footprint of industry.
Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES)
MEES regulations came into force in April 2018 - these set a level of energy efficiency as an "E". These standards mean that any property not achieving these standards cannot be leased or rented.
